With a (rapidly) growing baby bump, it is so hard to find clothes that will look flattering. That awkward stage where you obviously have a bump but can’t really tell if it’s a food bump or baby bump. Not forgetting the weight i’m quickly gaining through my thighs and omg that butt! Despite all the squats i’d do I could never achieve a perky enough bum but wow does pregnancy change your body. My bum is perkier than ever and I have a love hate relationship with it. I love how it looks but the problem is that most of my clothes now don’t fit past it… Except for any bandage/stretchy type materials.

So I opted for this bandage olive green midi skirt (my own brand so drop me a message if you would like to place an order) , and while my go to would be some kind of a crop top, now is not the time to be showing off this belly because really. it just looks like I ate not just my share of dinner, but Mike’s too~ While pregnant I also like to wear clothes that accentuate my more flattering features, that surely not being my bottom half. My shoulders however stay relatively the same throughout the pregnancy. So since the weather is calming down, I pulled out this Eileen Fischer poncho and draped it over a lace/crochet crop top. I tucked one side in a little just to give it some shape, and it showed off just a little of my shoulders which gave the overall look a little bit of edge. Plus Mike always says he likes my shoulders so why not show it off on date night haha.

As for shoes I paired it very simply with Stuart Weitzman’s Nudist heels, super comfortable and goes with anything!

I chose to carry this green Valentino Va Va Voom purse because I always find it so hard to match this green to any of my outfits.  Given I was wearing an olive green skirt that night, I figured i’d just mix up different hues of green & that should work.

As a mom, I rarely have the time or energy to actually do a full face of makeup or actually put together an outfit. Most times I wear the same leggings and tank top for 4 days in a row because the only place I go is to the grocery store and/or the park. So when we do have a night out, I utterly enjoy getting dressed up. I mean. I used to do this stuff for a living, and I still love it!

(My pictures are not photoshopped so whatever imperfections you see is what my skin looks like in real life… Lots of freckles!)

As for my makeup, I went with a fall inspired look that I saw on Youtube, and created my own adaptation of it to make it more wearable. Using mostly makeup geek eyeshadows and burnt orange hues, I really enjoyed creating this look. It was hard to capture how it looked in real life on the iPhone camera, but while I was ordering, the girl at the chocolate factory counter said that my makeup looked perfect and it was honestly very flattering! I hope you like it and if you do try out a similar look for Fall don’t forget to tag me @aliciatipilly on Instagram so I can check it out!  Here’s the list of products I used (:
